Thank you

This blog has been running for approx. two years. We hope the site has given you an impression of our bilateral Comenius project during this time.

Our Comenius project ended on August 31th 2015. We will not update this blog, but the blog will be open for at least two more years. In this way, we hope that you, dear reader, will find inspiration to start similar or other cross-cultural projects. Moreover, please use the detailed information about how to build snow sculptures and kites. In addition, of course, please learn some English, Catalan and Norwegian language expressions.

Nominated for national award

Stangnes Upper Secondary School, and its two teaching departments, the Programme Area for Arts, Crafts and Design Studies, and the vocational education programme in Design and Crafts, is nominated for the national Norwegian award "Ildsjelprisen" ('The Enthusiast Award'). The two other nominees are upper secondary schools in Southern Norway.

The reasons given by the jury for the nomination of Stangnes is that the actual department of the school is small but active. The jury also says: "The school has an international cooperation with the school of art, Escola Massana in Barcelona with exchange of students and teachers." Stangnes also has cooperated with the neighbouring school, Heggen, in a great production and performance called "Peer". In addition, the Stangnes school has been exposed well in local medias.
"Ildsjelprisen" is awarded on Monday February 9th in Oslo at the national Conference for Arts, Crafts and Design Studies.
